Larry Wilcox, 66, a resident of Third Lake, IL, passed away March 5, 2021 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. He was born May 15, 1954 in Evanston, IL to Myrtle and Leroy Wilcox. Larry was a member of St. Gilbert’s Catholic Church, where he volunteered for the SPRED program for many years, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and Officer of Home School Association for many years. He enjoyed gardening, flowers, and fishing. Larry loved watching his girls play tennis while growing up, adored his grandchildren, and loved to watch the Blackhawks and Cubs. Larry is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marie (nee: Podgurski) Wilcox, whom he wed on May 15, 1982 in Grayslake, IL, his daughters Lisa (Gregory) Miller of McHenry, IL and Laura Boles of Kenosha, WI, his grandchildren Brianna of Kenosha, WI, Madison of McHenry, IL and Christopher of McHenry, IL, and his siblings Roy (Susan Kies) Wilcox of Urbana, IL, Paul (Terri) Wilcox of St. Augustine, FL, Glen (Frederique) Wilcox of Boca Raton, FL, and Lori (Randy) Hankins of St. Augustine, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his granddaughter Faith Marie Boles. A memorial visitation and mass is scheduled for Tuesday, March 16, 2021 from 10:00 am until 11:00am with the mass commencing at 11:00am at St. Gilbert Catholic Church, 301 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030. Inurnment will be held at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL. All funeral arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030.
