Karen A. Winandy, 70, a resident of Highland Park, IL, passed away Friday, June 14, 2019 at Journey Care Hospice in Barrington, IL. Karen was born June 16, 1948 in Chicago, IL to Therese and Joseph Winandy. Karen is survived by her siblings Victor (Mary Kay) Winandy, Tim (Joanne) Winandy, Janice (David) Adkins, and Jody Veesenmeyer, her nieces and nephew Alecia (Dale) Marson, Jeffrey (Angela) Veesenmeyer, Amy Winandy, Kristy (Marko) Dugandzic, and Jacklyn (Matt) Stephany, 1 great-niece, and 7 great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law Lew Veesenmeyer. A visitation and funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, June 18 2019 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm with the service commencing at 8:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030. The burial service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 11:00am at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.
